In medicine it has many importance. The tree is made for removing diseases. In dental disease it works as miracle. The juice of the roots are applied on the aching tooth, it will remove the ache. For breathing trouble if 4 to 5 leaves are dried and inhaled the smoke by burning it, it will cure the disease.

अपामार्ग परिचय (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits):

अपामार्ग (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits) के पौधे से अधिकांश व्यक्ति परिचित होते हैं इसे चिरचिटा भी कहा जाता है। यह एक प्रसिद्ध झाड़ीदार पौधा है, जो प्राय: बंजर और रेतीले तथा खाली स्थानों पर होती है। यह वही पौधा है जिसके साथ श्रावणी के दिन वेद-मंत्रों को पढ़कर मार्जन किया जाता है। इसी के द्वारा कार्तिक वदी चतुर्दशी तथा ऋषि पंचमी के दिन दंत धावन किया जाता है। इस पौधे का विवरण अथर्ववेद में भी मिलता है। अपामार्ग (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits) दो प्रकार का होता है, एक लाल तथा दूसरा सफेद।

लाल अपामार्ग (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits) की शाखायें कुछ लालपन लिये हुये होती हैं तथा उसके पत्तों पर भी लाल निशान होते हैं। सफेद अपामार्ग की शाखाओं एवं पत्तियों पर लाल रंग का अभाव होता है। यह पौधा प्राय: भारत के सभी प्रदेशों में पाया जाता है। इनमें भी कहीं-कहीं यह वर्ष भर मिलता है और कहीं केवल वर्षा ऋतु में ही पाया जाता है। वर्षा का जल पड़ते ही यह अंकुरित होने लगता है। शीत ऋतु में यह अच्छा विकसित होता है और ग्रीष्म ऋतु में सूख जाता है।

अपामार्ग (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits) की दो जातियां होती हैं श्वेत और रक्त अपामार्ग। इनमें से श्वेत अपामार्ग ज्यादा प्रभावशाली होता है, अत: उसके उपलब्ध होने पर इसकी मूल को प्राप्त करें। यदि यह न मिल सके तब रक्त अपामार्ग की मूल प्राप्त करें। यह लाल रंग की आभा वाले तने की जाति की होती है। शुभ मुहूर्त में निकाली गई मूल को किसी सूती धागे से 7 बार लपेट कर धारण करने से विषम ज्वर दूर होता है। इसके निकालने का विशेष शुभ समय रवि पुष्य योग माना गया है।

उपरोक्तानुसार शुभ मुहूर्त में प्राप्त की गई श्वेत अपामार्ग (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits) की मूल को घिसकर तिलक लगाने से सम्मोहन होता है। इसके लिये श्वेत अपामार्ग की मूल को गुरू पुष्य नक्षत्र में पूर्व निमंत्रण देकर निकालकर जो व्यक्ति सिरहाने रखकर सोता है उसे शीघ्र नींद आ जाती है। जिस बालक को बार-बार नजर लगती हो और इसका प्रभाव उसके स्वास्थ्य पर पड़ता है, तो अपामार्ग की जड़ का प्रयोग करके नजरदोष से मुक्ति प्राप्त की जा सकती है। इसके लिये किसी भी अपामार्ग (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits) की जड़ अथवा 2-3 पत्ते प्राप्त करें। उसे काले छोटे कपड़े में पोटली की भांति रखकर ऊपर से काले धागे से बांध दें। इसके पश्चात् 7 अथवा 9 बार बालक के ऊपर से उल्टा उसारा करें। उसारा करते समय बालक की नजर दोष किसी चौराहे पर डाल दें। शीघ्र ही आपका बच्चा नजर पीड़ा से मुक्त होकर हंसने-खेलने लगेगा।

अपामार्ग की मूल से सिद्ध तेल की शरीर पर मालिश करने से शरीर पर निखार आने लगता है। श्वेत अपामार्ग  की शुभ मुहूर्त में प्राप्त की गई मूल को थोड़े से सरसों के तेल में खूब गर्म कर लें और मूल को तेल में ही पड़े रहने दें। इससे यह तेल सिद्ध हो जायेगा। जब तेल ठण्डा हो जाए तो इसे छान कर शीशी में भर कर सुरक्षित रख लें। केवल सिर को छोड़कर शरीर के शेष भाग में इसकी मालिश करने से काले वर्ण के व्यक्ति का रंग भी खिल उठता है। श्वेत अपामार्ग के लगभग 20 ग्राम बीजों को भली प्रकार से भूसी हटाकर 250 ग्राम दूध में उबाल कर खीर बना लें। इस खीर को खाने से सम्बन्धित व्यक्ति को 3 से 7 दिनों तक भूख नहीं लगती है।

श्वेत अपामार्ग के बीजों को घी मिलाकर जहाँ हवन किया जाता है, वहाँ से मिर्गी रोग विदा हो जाता है। श्वेत अपामार्ग के बीज इस पौधे के शीर्ष पर एक लड़ी पर चावल के समान लगे होते हैं। इसकी दातुन  दांत दर्द दूर करती है और नसवार सिर के कीड़े मारती है। लाल अपामार्ग की तरोताजा पत्तियों की माला प्रतिदिन पहनने से कण्ठ रोग समाप्त हो जाता है। चिरचिटा की जड़ को बिच्छू द्वारा काटे गए व्यक्ति को 7 बार दिखा देने, अथवा काटे गए स्थान पर छुआ देने मात्र से बिच्छू का जहर उतर जाता है।

कार्तिक पूर्णिमा के दिन अपामार्ग के थोड़े बीज लेकर उन्हें भली प्रकार साफ़ कर लें तत्पश्चात एक पाँव गौ के दूध में औटा करके खीर तैयार करें। रात को खुले स्थान पर चन्द्रमा की चांदनी की अर्थात् ओस में रख दें। तब दूसरे दिन प्रात: सूर्योदय से पूर्व इस खीर का सेवन करने से दमा रोग से छुटकारा मिल जाता है। प्रसव के लिए अपामार्ग  की चार अंगुल जड़ लाकर गर्भिणी नारी की योनि में प्रविष्ट कराने से तत्काल प्रसव हो जाता है।

वशीकरण के लिए:

अपामार्ग (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits) की जड़ उखाड़कर उसे कील की तरह बनाकर उसे 7 बार अभिमंत्रित करके जिसके घर में फेंक दिया जाए वह व्यक्ति वश में हो जाता है। पहले इस मन्त्र को 41000 बार जप करके सिद्ध करने के बाद ही प्रयोग में लाएं।

अपामार्ग (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits) की टहनी लेकर, उस पर रुई लपेट कर बत्ती बनाकर एक मिट्टी के दीपक में चमेली का तेल डालकर जलाएं। इसका काजल एकत्र करें, जब तक यह काजल की क्रिया चलती रहे तब तक इस मन्त्र का जप करें।

जब आपको काजल का प्रयोग करना हो, तब 101 बार इस मन्त्र से काजल को अभिमंत्रित करके जिस स्त्री के पास काजल लगाकर जाए तो वह स्त्री दासी की तरह साधक का कार्य करेगी। यह सिद्ध प्रयोग है।

अपामार्ग का औषधीय महत्व:

औषधीय रूप से अपामार्ग (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits) का बहुत अधिक महत्व माना गया है। अपामार्ग का अर्थ है, रोगों को ठीक करना। विशेष रूप से यह बढ़ी हुई भूख को शांत करता है, तथा दांत के रोगों के साथ साथ अन्य अनेक रोगों को भी ठीक करता है। दांतों के रोगों में इसका विशेष प्रयोग किया जाता है। यह दांत में होने वाली पीड़ा से मुक्ति दिलाता है। इसके 4-5 पत्ते लेकर स्वच्छ कर लें। इन्हें ठीक से कूट कर इनका रस प्राप्त करें। इस रस को रुई में लगाकर फोया बनाकर दांत पर लगाने से लाभ मिलता है।

श्वास रोगों में अपामार्ग (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits) की पत्तियों को लाभकारी पाया गया है। इसके लिए 8 से 10 पत्तियों को लेकर सुखा लें। इसके बाद इनको चिलम अथवा हुक्के द्वारा पीने से अत्यंत लाभ प्राप्त होता है। बच्चों में अगर कफ जमने तथा खांसी की समस्या है तो इसके लिए यह प्रयोग करें। इसके अंतर्गत अपामार्ग  की जड़ का चूर्ण लगभग आधा चम्मच लेकर उसमें एक चम्मच शहद मिलाकर बच्चे को चटा दें। इससे छाती में जमा कफ दूर होकर शान्ति की प्राप्ति होगी।

महिलाओं में होने वाले रक्तप्रदर रोग में अपामार्ग का प्रयोग बहुत अधिक लाभ देता है। इसके लिए अपामार्ग की ताज़ी पत्तियां लगभग 10 ग्राम तथा इससे आधी मात्रा 5 ग्राम के लगभग हरी घास प्राप्त करें। दोनों को अच्छी प्रकार से पीस लें, इसमें एक कप के बराबर जल मिलाकर छान लें। इसमें स्वाद के अनुसार मिश्री अथवा शहद मिलाकर प्रात: काल में सेवन करें। इसका निरंतर 15 दिन तक सेवन करें अथवा रोग के ठीक होने तक नियमित रूप से करें। अवश्य ही लाभ की प्राप्ति होगी। कर्णपीड़ा में इसके पत्तों के अर्क की एक दो बूंद को कान में डालने से कान का दर्द दूर हो जाता है। इसकी टहनी से दातुन करने से दांत तो साफ़ होते ही है, साथ ही बुद्धि भी बढती है। इसलिए अपामार्ग की दातुन अवश्य करें।

जिस व्यक्ति को बिच्छू ने काटा हो उसके विष के प्रभाव को समाप्त करने के लिए डंक किए स्थान पर तथा उसके आस पास अपामार्ग की जड़ को फिराएं। ऐसा करने से बिच्छू डंक का प्रभाव समाप्त हो जाता है। तत्पश्चात उसी जड़ को जल में घिसकर अथवा पीसकर डंक वाले स्थान पर रख दें। ऐसा करने से विष का प्रभाव समाप्त हो जाएगा। प्राचीनकाल में विष उतारने के लिए यह प्रयोग बहुत अधिक किया जाता था। अपामार्ग (Achyranthes Aspera Benefits) की जड़ के एक छोटे टुकड़े को ताबीज में रखकर काले धागे में गले में बाँधने से नजर नहीं लगती है। इस मूल को पास में रखने वाले पर शत्रु आसानी से हमला नहीं कर पाता।
