कनेर का परीचय:

रक्त करवीर भी प्राय: हर स्थान पर सुलभ है। इसके पत्ते, शाखाएं और झाड सफेद कनेर जैसा ही होता है, परन्तु फूल लाल कुछ गुलाबी आभा लिए होते है।

काले कनेर का पौधा भी और कनेर के जैसा होता है परन्तु काला कनेर बड़ी कठिनता से प्राप्त होता है। इसके गुण भी सफेद कनेर जैसे होते है। जैसे, विषैला और कडवा आदि।

लाल कनेर का उपयोग:

• इस्को गणेश कुसुम भी कहते है, गणेश जी को इसके फूल चढाने से मनचाहा वरदान मिलता है।
• इस्को ही चण्डी कुसुम भी कहते है, तथा इसके पुष्प चण्डी को चढाने से चण्डी शीघ्र ही प्रसन्न हो जाती है।
