Putreshti Yajna directly means’ Yajna or worship performed on the wish of the son. Many rituals of this Yajna are found in our scriptures. In the Satyuga, Maharishi Kashyapa and Aditi had considered Shree Vishnu as the presiding deity and made a son-in-law.
