The path of knowledge speaks of liberation, while the devotee speaks of the vision; both meanings are the same. The only difference is in language.

किसी वस्तु का ज्ञान देखने से होता है किन्तु ब्रह्म का ज्ञान उसे जानना मात्र है, अनुभूति करना है৷ ज्ञान ही अज्ञान को दूर ‘करने का उपाय है, कर्म तो ज्ञान में बाधक है৷ अतः मुक्ति ईश्वर के हाथ में है; वह किसी पुरुषार्थ का परिणाम नहीं है৷ ज्ञानमार्गी मुक्ति की बात कहते हैं व भक्त उसे दर्शन की बात कहते हैं, दोनों का अर्थ एक ही है৷ केवल भाषा का ही अन्तर है৷
