Adiyogi Kavach, Adiyogi Shiva Face Raksha Locket

Adiyogi Kavach/Adiyogi Puja Pendant (आदियोगी कवच): The actual Adiyogi Puja Pendant is a 112 feet tall Shankar statue that was installed in Coimbatore in 2017. Its design by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. Sadhguru believes that this statue is meant to inspire people to do yoga, hence the name ‘Adi Yogi’ (first yogi). More than fifteen thousand years ago, long before all religions, the first yogi, Adi Yogi, appeared in the Himalayas. They began to dance immersed in ecstasy or would sit still. In this state, the tears flowing from his eyes were the only signs that he was alive. It was a fact that Adiyogi Kavach was having an experience that no one have any images as such. He caught his attention and people began to gather around him, but he paid no attention, so the crowd gradually began to separate.

Only 7 serious applicants remained. He pleaded humbly that he we’d like to know what he knew. Through Adiyogi Kavach, Adi Yogi heard his request. Therefore Lord initiated him into the initial spiritual practice. He meditated with full concentration for eighty-four years, during which time Adi Yogi paid no attention to him. Then, at the beginning of Dakshinayana, Adiyogi Kavach found himself shining like a ray of knowledge. After observing him for twenty-eight days, he transformed into the First Guru or Adi Guru on a full moon night. Today we know this night as Guru Purnima. At the Kanti Sarovar bank, Adi Yogi taught the science of yoga to his first seven disciples. The same seven disciples are famous as Sapta Rishi.
