Shiva Photo Frame/Shiva Picture Frame (शिव चित्र फ्रेम): Like Brahma and Vishnu, Shiva (or Siva) is one of the most important gods in the Hindu pantheon. They are members of the holy trinity (Trimurti) of Hinduism. A complex figure, he can represent good and serve as a protector, but he also has a darker side as a leader of evil spirits, ghosts, and vampires and as a master of thieves, villains, and beggars. He is also associated with time and especially as the destroyer of all things. Yet Shiva is also associated with creation. According to our scripture, the universe regenerates itself in cycles (every 2,160,000,000 years). By the end of each cycle, Shiva destroys the universe, which then allows for a new Creation. Shiva is also a great ascetic, abstaining from all forms of self-indulgence and pleasure, concentrating rather a meditation to find perfect happiness. He is the most important Hindu god for the Shaivism sect, the patron of yogis and Brahmins, and the protector of the Vedas, the sacred texts. (Shiva Photo Frame)
Legend
Like any great god, Shiva had the involvement in many adventurous episodes that illustrate his virtuous character and offer guidance on how to live rightly. For example, self-sacrifice emphasizes when Vasuki, the king of snakes, threatened to vomit snake venom across the sea. Shiva, in the form of a huge turtle or tortoise, took the poison in his palm and drank it. The poison turned his throat into a permanent blue scar. Hence, people call him Nilakantha or Blue Throat. Another celebrated episode describes how Shiva (Shiva Photo Frame) united with the bull Nandi. One day, Surabhi, who was the original mother of all the cows in the world, began to give birth to an innumerable number of perfectly white cows. The milk from all these cows flooded Shiva’s home somewhere in the Himalayas. Angered by this interruption of meditation, the god struck the cow with fire from his third eye. As a result, patches of cow hides turned brown. The other gods, still angry, tried to appease Shiva by offering him a magnificent bull—Nandi. He was the son of Surabhi and Kashyap. Shiva accepted and rode. It is a say that Nandi is the protector of all animals.
