Safed Janeu/White Janeu Thread (सफेद जनेऊ): Safed Janeu is called “Yajnopavit” in Sanskrit. It is a sacred thread made from our thread which is worn on the left shoulder and under the right arm. That is, people place it on the neck so that it rests on the left shoulder. There are three scriptures in Janeu – Trimurti – the symbol of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh – Dev Hrina, Pitri Hrina, and Rishi Hrina – a symbol of Sattva, Raj, and Tama.
