केसर कश्मीर में श्रीनगर के आस पास पैदा किया जाता है। इसके पौधे दो फुट ऊँचे होते है। केसर का प्रयोग अनेक रोगों को शांत करने में होता है और तंत्र शास्त्र में भी इसे बहुत उपयोगी माना गया है।
