Shiv Shadakshara Stotra (शिव षडाक्षर स्तोत्र): Shiv Shadakshara Stotra is in Sanskrit. It is from Rudrayamal. Shiv Shadakshara Stotra is a creation, arisen from the discussion (Samvade) in between God Shiva and Goddess Uma for the benefit of people. It is a powerful Lord Shiva prayer addressed to the six lettered mantra of Shiva – the “Om Namah Shivay”. It is found in the famous Rudrayamala Tantra text. Rudra Yamala Tantra is part of the Bhairav Agama canon of Shaivism as well as Tantric canon of Shaktism. “Om Namah Shivay” is a Shadakshari (having 6 letters in it) mantra. For each letter there is a single stanza. Last stanza is of Falasruti. In all Shiv Shadakshara Stotra is having 7 stanzas. For achieving anything as also Shanti (Peace), Happiness and Moksha (free from bondage of this life) the devotee has to recite Shiv Shadakshara Stotra in Shiva temple daily with devotion, faith and concentration.

शिव प्रातःस्मरण स्तोत्रम्
प्रातः स्मरामि भवभीतिहरं सुरेशं
गङ्गाधरं वृषभवाहनमम्बिकेशम् ।
खट्वाङ्गशूलवरदाभयहस्तमीशं
संसाररोगहरमौषधमद्वितीयम् ॥1॥
प्रातर्नमामि गिरिशं गिरिजार्धदेहं
सर्गस्थितिप्रलयकारणमादिदेवम् ।
विश्वेश्वरं विजितविश्वमनोभिरामं
संसाररोगहरमौषधमद्वितीयम् ॥2॥
प्रातर्भजामि शिवमेकमनन्तमाद्यं
वेदान्तवेद्यमनघं पुरुषं महान्तम् ।
नामादिभेदरहितं षड्भावशून्यं
संसाररोगहरमौषधमद्वितीयम् ॥3॥

ॐकारं बिंदुसंयुक्तं नित्यं ध्यायंति योगिनः ।
कामदं मोक्षदं चैव ॐकाराय नमो नमः ॥1॥
नमंति ऋषयो देवा नमन्त्यप्सरसां गणाः ।
नरा नमंति देवेशं नकाराय नमो नमः ॥2॥
महादेवं महात्मानं महाध्यानं परायणम् ।
महापापहरं देवं मकाराय नमो नमः ॥3॥
शिवं शांतं जगन्नाथं लोकानुग्रहकारकम् ।
शिवमेकपदं नित्यं शिकाराय नमो नमः ॥4॥
वाहनं वृषभो यस्य वासुकिः कंठभूषणम् ।
वामे शक्तिधरं देवं वकाराय नमो नमः ॥5॥
यत्र यत्र स्थितो देवः सर्वव्यापी महेश्वरः ।
यो गुरुः सर्वदेवानां यकाराय नमो नमः ॥6॥
षडक्षरमिदं स्तोत्रं यः पठेच्छिवसंनिधौ ।
शिवलोकमवाप्नोति शिवेन सह मोदते ॥7॥
