How to Install Chamunda Yantra?
On any Friday, after taking bath etc., sit on a red woolen mat between 9 pm to 11 pm facing west or the direction in which your temple is facing. Then install Chamunda Yantra in the temple or in front of you on a red cloth and light an oil lamp in front of the yantra, meditate on the nine powers of Durga Maa on the yantra, put nine vermilion dots on the yantra and worship it. After this, chant the following mantra nine times using Durga Rosary or do it according to your sadhana.

किसी भी शुक्रवार को स्नान आदि करके रात्रि के समय 9 बजे से 11 बजे के बीच, लाल ऊनि आसन पर पश्चिम दिशा की तरफ मुख करके या फिर आपका मंदिर जिस दिशा की तरफ हो, उस दिशा की ओर मुह करके बैठ जाए। फिर मंदिर में या अपने सामने चामुंडा यंत्र को लाल वस्त्र पर स्थापित करें और यन्त्र के सामने तेल का दीपक जलाकर, यन्त्र पर दुर्गा माँ की नौं शक्तियों का ध्यान कर, यन्त्र पर नौं सिंदूर की बिंदियाँ लगायें, पूजन करें। इसके बाद निम्नलिखित मन्त्र का 9 माला का जाप दुर्गा माला से करें या अपनी साधना के अनुसार करे।
